One-piece keyhole wall shelf
A thin deck with a rolled front lip, carried by a curved strut that sweeps down into the wall plate and leaves a rounded window you see from the side. It prints in one piece on its side, so every layer runs along the load path. Two hidden keyholes hang it, and a slot at the back of the deck drops a device's lead into the hollow and out of the shelf's end. The checks cover the deck stress at your load, set down suddenly, against the material, the keyhole head pockets, the screw pull-out, and the plug and lead route.

Ask for the sizes you want to tweak, e.g. “make the width adjustable”.

Engineering checks
- Lead drops through the deck and out of the endoverlap 0.00 mm³; a 6 mm lead bends at 24 mm (4.0x)
- Plug passes the deck slotan 11 mm plug body sampled at 3 heights through the slot: overlap 0.00 mm³
- Deck carries the load0.31 MPa between plate and strut at 2 kg set down suddenly; PLA allows 16.7 along the layers
- Keyhole screws take the pull-out26 N per screw at 4 kg; use wall anchors rated well above this
- Keyholes sit behind the plate3.2 mm head pocket in a 7 mm plate, 0.8 mm skin in front of it
Adjustable sizes
| Setting | Default | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Width | 180 mm | 120–240 mm |
| Depth | 90 mm | 60–120 mm |
| Load on the shelf | 2 kg | 0.5–4 kg |
| Wall screw centres | 120 mm | 60–200 mm |
| Thickest lead | 6 mm | 3–8 mm |
How to make it
- Set width, depth and the load on the shelf.
- Match the screw centres to your wall screws.
- Print on its side, drive two screws with heads 3 mm proud, and hang it.
Print tips
- Print on its side, chamfered end down; no supports.
- Use wall anchors rated well above the pull-out the check reports.
FAQ
How much can it hold?
The default is checked for 2 kg set down suddenly. The keyhole screws carry a pull-out force that the check reports, so choose anchors rated well above it.
