Say what you need

Type it like you'd tell a friend. Sizes help, but they're optional — Loftsmith picks sensible defaults and turns them into sliders.

Tip: pick your filament and printer in the “Designing for” line first.

Watch it get designed

Loftsmith works out the design, writes it as real CAD and builds it right in front of you. You can type feedback while it works — it reads it before the next step.

Tip: press Stop anytime, or Pause after build to review.

Adjust with sliders

Every design comes with sliders for the sizes that matter. Drag, and the model rebuilds instantly — free and instant.

Tip: tap a number to type an exact value.

Circle what's wrong

Press Mark, draw a loop around a spot, and say what to change. Loftsmith sees exactly where you mean — no describing “the left bit near the top”.

Show it with photos

Add photos of the thing it has to fit. Draw a line across something you know the size of — the ends snap to real edges — and type the length.

Tip: preview exactly what Loftsmith will read before you send.

Check it will print

Each version is checked for your printer: does it fit the bed, will it need supports, are walls thick enough? Switch the view to Print check to see problem faces in colour.

Shortcut: V cycles the views

  • Fits your printer
  • Overhang 62° — needs support
  • No wall under 0.8 mm
07

Print a test piece first

Not sure a clip or hole will fit? Test piece → Cut from an area, circle it, and print just that bit. Or print a tolerance, hinge or insert tester.

Saves hours and most of the filament.

Watch it print, then download

See your part being printed layer by layer on your printer, then download a 3MF that opens in Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Orca or Cura.

Parts already face the right way on the plate.
