NFC wall puck

A little disc you can stick by the front door and tap your phone on. There's a round recess in the middle sized for an NFC sticker, and curved lines on top that point to where to tap. Change the sticker size and the puck width to match what you have.

Hardware

  • NTAG215 sticker, 25 mm round · Sticks into the front pocket
  • 2 × Small wall screws, about 4 mm shank · Keep the head under about 8 mm so it fits the keyhole

Assembly

  1. Print the puck back face down.
  2. Drive two screws into the wall, spaced to match the keyholes.
  3. Press the NTAG215 sticker into the front pocket.
  4. Hang the puck on the screws and slide it down to lock.

Good to know

  • The keyhole fit and the scan range through a real phone are untested. Do a quick tap test before you mount it.
  • Don't mount it on a metal surface unless you add a ferrite sheet behind the tag. Metal blocks NFC.
