Fuel sample adapter M12x1

Gets a fuel sample out of a port without a mess. The M12x1 thread screws onto the fitting, and the stepped barb on top gives a hose something to hold onto. The ribbed body is easy to grip and turn. Change the barb width to suit your tubing.

Notes
Print slowly. Print the threads first as a test fit on the real port.

Hardware

  • Fuel-rated hose · About 6 mm inside diameter for the barb.
  • Fuel-resistant gasket or O-ring · Optional, to seal against the port face. The adapter has no built-in seal.

Assembly

  1. Screw the adapter onto the port by hand, clockwise.
  2. Push the fuel hose onto the barb.
  3. Use a gasket or O-ring if you need a seal.

Good to know

  • I haven't tested the fit. I assumed a true M12 × 1.25 thread and a port about 10 mm long, so print it and try it on the real port before you rely on it. If it's tight or loose, change the Thread clearance slider.
  • PETG is not rated for long contact with fuel and it isn't aircraft-approved hardware. Use it for bench or non-flight sampling only.
  • The build report still flags one thin ledge inside the bore, where the thread ends. It's an internal run-out and should not affect the fit.
  • The adapter has no seal of its own. A gasket against the port face is recommended.
