Desk-edge cable clip

Stops a charging cable from sliding off the back of your desk. The C-shaped jaw clamps onto the edge, and a small snap-in loop on the side holds the cable in place. Change the desk thickness and cable diameter to fit your own setup.

Notes
Printing it on its side makes the jaws and cable cradle springy instead of brittle.

Assembly

  1. Push the clip straight onto the desk edge, bottom jaw first under the desk, until the back of the C touches the edge.
  2. Press the cable into the front cradle until it clicks in.

Good to know

  • Two red marks in the check list are on purpose. The desk overlap is the 0.8 mm squeeze that holds the clip on. The 'cable goes in' check fails because it treats the cable as rigid, but in real life the cable squeezes 0.4 mm past each side of the opening, and that's exactly what keeps it in.
  • It's set up for a 25 mm desk top. If yours is different, set the Desk thickness slider before printing. If it feels too loose or too tight, change the Grip squeeze slider.
