Gingerbread house cutter set, adjusts for dough thickness
Cut every piece of a gingerbread house from one rolled-out sheet. The set has cutters for the walls, gable ends, two roof panels and a door, plus two rolling guides so the dough comes out an even thickness. Change the house size or the dough thickness to suit your tray.
7 parts · 100 g · 279 × 273 × 12 mm
Ask for the sizes you want to tweak, e.g. “make the width adjustable”.
How to print it
Parts
- gable-cutter · PLA · Blade up, flange and label tab flat on the bed
Use it twice, for the front and back gables. Has a round attic window when windows are on. 90.4 x 130.9 x 12 mm, about 15 g and 25 min at the defaults.
- side-wall-cutter · PLA · Blade up, flange flat on the bed
Use it twice, for the left and right walls. Cuts L - 2t long so the walls fit between the gables, with two arched windows. 110.4 x 90.9 x 12 mm, about 17 g and 28 min.
- roof-cutter-a · PLA · Blade up, flange flat on the bed
Cut once. This roof panel laps over the ridge. Its ribs press shingle lines 1.5 mm deep. 132.4 x 98.5 x 12 mm, about 23 g and 35 min.
- roof-cutter-b · PLA · Blade up, flange flat on the bed
Cut once. This roof panel tucks under roof A at the ridge. 132.4 x 93.5 x 12 mm, about 22 g and 34 min.
- door-cutter · PLA · Blade up, flange flat on the bed
Optional (Door switch). Press it into the front gable, centred on the bottom edge. 46 x 64.5 x 12 mm, about 6 g and 13 min.
- rolling-guide ×2 · PLA · Flat on the bed
170 x 16 mm strips exactly as tall as the dough thickness (5 mm by default), with the thickness engraved on top. About 8 g and 15 min each.

- None. Every part prints blade up from a flat flange with 0% overhang.
- Notes
- Whole set at the defaults: about 101 g and 2 h 46 min at 2 walls and 15% infill (3 walls and 15%: about 107 g, 2 h 58 min). Every piece fits a 180 mm bed at the defaults. At the largest sliders the roof and wall cutters reach 222 mm and need a 256 mm bed. PLA keeps the 1.2 mm blades stiff. Use PETG
Assembly
- Set the Dough thickness slider to the thickness you will roll. Every cutter, the roof correction and the guides follow it, and each cutter's label shows it.
- Lay the two rolling guides either side of the dough and roll until the pin rides on both guides.
- Cut 2 gables, 2 side walls, 1 roof A and 1 roof B. Press each cutter straight down until the flange meets the dough, then push the panel out between the bars.
- Optional: press the door cutter into one gable, centred on its bottom edge, and bake the door piece separately.
- After baking, stand the gables at the front and back and set the side walls between them. The outer faces meet flush at the corners.
- Ice roof B on first, its top edge at the ridge. Then lay roof A so its extra length covers roof B's top edge.
Good to know
- Not certified food-safe. Wash before use, or cut through baking paper. Printed layers can trap dough, so clean them well and do not put PLA cutters in the dishwasher.
- The thickness correction assumes the baked panels are as thick as the rolled dough. Dough that spreads or puffs in the oven changes the fit, so trim warm panels against the cutter if needed.
- At pitches other than 45° the square-cut roof edges leave a small wedge under the ridge for icing to fill: up to 1.7 mm at 35° or 55° with 5 mm dough, and 2.1 mm with 6 mm dough.
- The rolling guides are 170 mm long. At large house sizes, roll the sheet in two passes.
- The 1.2 mm blades are made for soft dough. Do not use them on hard or chilled dough.
