Thick-case phone stand, 65°

Props your phone up at a steep angle so you can read it from across the desk, even with a chunky case on. There's an opening at the bottom for the charging lead, so you can charge while it stands. Change the lean, or the case thickness it holds.

Notes
Printing on its side makes the backrest strong and leaves no support marks.

Assembly

  1. Slide the charging lead in from the side through the slot in the shelf.
  2. Drop the USB-C plug into its pocket from above, so it points straight up.
  3. Run the lead down through the window, then press it into the groove underneath, working from the front to the back.
  4. Set the phone onto the plug and let it lean back against the stand.

Good to know

  • I sized the shelf for a phone + case up to 17 mm thick and a 4 mm USB-C lead. If yours are bigger, change the Thickest phone + case or Charging lead diameter slider on Adjust.
  • The plug pocket fits a typical USB-C plug, about 13 × 7.5 mm. If your plug is unusually bulky, it may not fit, and how firmly the groove grips the lead is untested.
  • Light taps on the screen are fine, but a hard push near the top of a big phone could still tip it backwards. A couple of rubber feet will help it grip the desk.
