72T 24DP gear, 1" keyed bore
A big spur gear for when you need to step a motor's speed down or share a shaft's turning with something else. It has a round hub with a keyway to lock onto a 1" shaft, and six round cutouts in the web. Tweak the bore and keyway clearance to get the fit you like.

Hardware
- 1/8" square key · At least 3/8" long
Assembly
- Slide the gear onto the 1" shaft with the keyway lined up with the key seat.
- Tap in the 1/8" key. Hold the gear in place along the shaft with a set collar or a shoulder.
Good to know
- The design check flags thin ledges on the teeth. Those are just the flat tops of the teeth, which a 24-pitch gear needs, so they're not a problem.
- PLA teeth are good for light loads, up to about 1.5 N·m at 3/8" thick. Sliders on the Adjust tab change the fit: if the shaft or key is too tight or too loose, change Bore clearance or Keyway clearance. If the gear binds against its mate, raise Backlash.
