Christmas tree with red tinsel

A little tree for the shelf or the table, finished off with a gold star and a red tinsel spiral winding down through the tiers. It sits in its own pot, and the star plugs in on top. Change the tinsel turns for a fuller wrap.

Brim on the tree.

Assembly

  1. Push the trunk into the pot.
  2. Push the star's peg into the slot at the top of the tree.
  3. Wind the tinsel on from the top and glue it at the branch tips with small dots of glue.

Good to know

  • The tinsel only touches the outer branch edges, so glue it at several points. The slim spiral is delicate, so remove the supports gently.
  • The assembly check treats the tree as fixed because the glued tinsel wraps around it. The in-tree multicolour tinsel toggle works but estimates about 17 hours, so I don't recommend it.
